Team Lead – Security Architecture & Engineering
As the Team Lead – Security Architecture & Engineering at Shine, you drive the design, implementation, and evolution of our security architecture across cloud, applications, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms. This is a leadership role for a hands‑on security professional who can translate business objectives into secure, scalable and resilient technology solutions while leading a high‑performing team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and mentor Security Architects and Security Engineers.
- Define and maintain security architecture standards, patterns, and roadmaps.
- Embed Secure-by-Design and DevSecOps practices across the technology lifecycle.
- Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modelling, and design assurance activities.
- Drive security engineering initiatives across Cloud Security, CNAPP, IAM, Application Security, Data Security, and Security Automation.
- Lead Virtual Technology Security Committee to ensure security initiatives are prioritised.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, IT and GRC teams to manage security risks and enable innovation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and ensure alignment with security strategy and regulatory requirements.
About you
- Proven experience leading Security Architecture and Engineering functions.
- 10 years experience in the Security field and at least 2 years in a leading position.
- Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, application security, IAM, and modern security engineering practices.
- Experience implementing and operating CNAPP, security automation, and secure cloud platforms.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive security outcomes across complex environments.
- Preferred Certifications: CCSP, SABSA, AWS/Azure/GCP Security Certifications.
