Position: HSE Officer Germany

Type: Full time, Permanent

Location: Hamburg or Bremen Germany

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week

Salary: (€) 70k to 95k annual

Shirley Parsons is currently seeking an experienced HSE Specialist for a client operating within the offshore renewable energy sector in Germany. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in offshore HSE practices, with in-depth knowledge of German legislation and electrical safety standards.

This is an office-based position, primarily located in Hamburg, with the option to work from the Bremen office if preferred. The role will also involve occasional travel to project sites, including ports, vessels, and offshore wind turbine locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant German HSE legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits at ports, vessels, and offshore wind turbine generator (WTG) sites.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE policies and risk assessments.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring corrective actions are identified and implemented.
  • Support the HSE reporting system and follow up to close out of findings in a pro-active manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to promote a proactive safety culture.

Key Requirements:

  • Fluent in both German and English, plus proof of German residency
  • Background in Offshore HSE
  • Knowledge in German HSE Legislation (specifically electrical safety)
  • Experience in conducting offshore electrical risk assessments and method statements.
  • Relevant HSE qualification
