A snapshot of your day
As the Resident Chief Engineer, you will contribute to the Wind Power strategy of industrialising offshore. You will represent the Technology Platform in the Plant Cuxhaven Management team and enhance collaboration between Operations and Technology functions. You will provide onsite technical expertise for the plant to reach the budgeted output and proactively identify improvement opportunities to exceed targets.
How you’ll make an impact
- Focus on proactiveness, faster decision‑making, and ensuring a feedback loop.
- Proactively identify potential design issues in the production environment and establish solutions via direct discussion with plant and technology functions.
- Facilitate faster decision‑making by bridging the distance between plant location and technology centres worldwide, eliminating waiting time.
- Ensure a communication loop from fleet to plant for implementation of needed measures, and engage Technology Platform and Module Chief Engineers for optimized design.
- Collaborate closely with Factory Support Engineers and interact with the plant at all organisational levels to share technical expertise.
- Develop central initiatives that influence the industrialisation of SG14/15, aligning with the Wind Power business strategy.
What you bring
- Bachelor\’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Long‑term experience within the wind industry, especially in wind turbines and nacelles.
- Strong knowledge of system interfaces, individual components, and direct‑drive technology.
- Proficient English and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision‑making ability.
- Good command of German (beneficial).
About the team
You will be part of the Capacity Management team in the Direct Drive Platform – Product Integration function. The team focuses on industrialisation areas such as procurement collaboration, plant technical support, supply chain management, and budget control for operations and procurement activities. The Resident Chief Engineer is a highly visible role in both Technology and Operations Senior Management.
