A Snapshot of Your Day:

Develop and implement overall strategy for electrical systems of our power generation packages (incl., packaging), future extension of scope and strategy into other business areas of Siemens Energy. De-risk supplier dependencies, ensure capacities, reduce lead times, reduce cost of supply base and simplify execution model.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Analyze status quo of different commodities with regard to risks and opportunities together with existing experts (Commodity Managers, Buyers, Engineers)
  • Identify and prioritize levers for value creation (esp. cost reduction, lead time and de-risking)
  • Align levers with relevant team members and find opportunities for collaboration with collaborators outside of the own business area (esp. Project Entity and Controls & Digitalization)
  • Develop target picture and define implementation plan, incl. identification of risks
  • Align implementation plan with partners (esp. Engineering, Supplier Quality & Development)
  • Orchestrate relevant commodity managers and buying organization to support the project; align different initiatives towards the target picture

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree or equivalent experience in an engineering or business field or similar career track record
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills to quickly understand challenges/opportunities and create big picture
  • Innovative mindset with strong motivation to create change for the better
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills
  • Understanding of electrical components, preferably Electric Engineering degree, or supply chain experience in Electric industry
  • Proficiency in English, proficiency in German is a plus
