A Snapshot of your day

As a Master and Reference Data Management Specialist, you are part of our growing Data & Artificial Intelligence team within our Digital Core function. You will assist your team in documenting master and reference data sources in the SE Data Catalog for all data domains, enabling a clear inventory of data sources across the Siemens Energy data landscape. You will lead the implementation of Master Data Management best practices and assurance processes.

How You’ll Make an Impact

1. You will be the leading expert for Master and Reference Data Management at Siemens Energy.
2. You will explain master and reference data concepts clearly and provide examples to help others understand data governance.
3. You will advise data governance roles in identifying master and reference data in their domains.
4. You will support the documentation of master and reference data in the SE Data Catalog (Collibra).
5. You will document requirements for enhancements to the SE Data Catalog.
6. You will create documentation and guides for Master and Reference Data Management activities.
7. You will coach others to describe and own their master and reference datasets.
8. You will support testing and assurance of capability delivery in the SE Data Catalog.
9. You will gather and document requirements for data harmonization initiatives.
10. You will analyze and test existing and new MDM processes and controls.
11. You will recommend improvements for collaboration and data governance.

What You Bring – Your Skills, Capabilities

1. University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
2. 10+ years‘ experience in Data Management, preferably in Master Data Management.
3. Excellent communication skills to explain data governance concepts.
4. Specialist in designing and implementing Master Data Management.
5. Understanding of technology and application landscape in large organizations.
6. Strong facilitation skills and proactive collaboration with data governance roles.
7. Experience with master data management solutions (e.g., SAP MDG, Collibra).
8. Proven track record in large data governance programs.
9. Flexibility to handle multiple demands and rapid changes.
10. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
