In this role, you will support System Performance Engineering and Qualification activities in the field of EGNOS. Your focus will be on the analysis of GNSS receiver data, system performance verification, and the investigation of performance deviations and their root causes. You will compare real measurement data with simulation results, assess relevant GNSS effects, and support system simulations as well as safety case analyses.
Join our team as a System Performance Engineer (m/f/x) EGNOS / GNSS in a permanent internal position at our Ottobrunn location, with the following responsibilities:
- Support System Performance Engineering and Qualification activities for EGNOS
- Analyse and assess RIMS receiver observation data, including RINEX data
- Investigate GNSS performance effects such as multipath, scintillation, interference and outages
- Analyse simulation results with regard to availability, continuity, integrity and accuracy
- Compare real receiver data with simulated reference data
- Perform root cause analyses of system performance deviations
- Support system-level simulations and safety-related analyses
- Support the verification and qualification of system performance
- Create, maintain and evaluate verification documentation and technical notes
- Analyse complex datasets and derive technical relationships, conclusions and corrective measures
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Navigation, Geodesy, Physics or a comparable technical field
- Experience in Systems Engineering and Requirements Verification
- Solid knowledge of GNSS / satellite navigation
- Experience working with GNSS receiver or observation data
- Knowledge of RINEX data is an advantage
- Understanding of typical GNSS error sources such as multipath, scintillation and interference
- Experience in System Performance, Verification or Qualification is desirable
- Good knowledge of Python and/or scripting
- Strong analytical and structured approach to work
- Ability to independently analyse complex technical data and relationships
