Overview
In this role you drive privacy and information compliance while shaping responsible AI governance for a global consultancy. You’ll translate GDPR and internal policies into pragmatic controls and guidance for cross-functional teams. You work closely with engineers, IT, security, data/AI teams, and business stakeholders to balance legal risk with practical implementation. This position offers room to develop group-wide data privacy expertise and influence AI governance across the organization. You will engage in meaningful, enterprise-wide impact through governance playbooks and scalable practices.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Advise on privacy and data protection, including GDPR/EU privacy, retention, data subject rights, vendor matters, and transfers
- Contribute to core privacy governance activities (DPIAs, transfer assessments, processing documentation, policy updates, incident/risk follow-up, training, reporting)
- Translate legal and contractual requirements into implementable controls for business and tech teams
- Review AI and data-driven use cases for privacy risks, data handling, and human oversight
- Collaborate with engineers, IT, security, data/AI teams, consultants, and product owners to shape compliant, business-friendly approaches
- Develop scalable governance playbooks, checklists, standards, and review patterns aligned with Privacy by Design, Governance by Design, Security by Design, and Responsible AI
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 5-8+ years in data protection, privacy, technology law, AI governance, or related field
- Legal background with relevant qualification (e.g., LL.M. or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of GDPR and EU privacy requirements; familiarity with German data protection is a plus
- Experience advising on technology-related legal/compliance topics in tech-focused environments
- Fluency in English and at least one additional EU language; German is a plus
- Ability to discuss data flows, AI-enabled workflows, SaaS/cloud tools, access rights, retention, and vendor integrations with technical teams
- Practical familiarity with AI/generative AI use cases and related privacy risks
