For our customer located in Hannover/Germany we are currently looking for a: SAP BW Functional Consultant (m/f/x)
- Location: Hannover
- Remote: Hybrid role, main part will be remote, first weeks need to be onsite

Our customer in the automotive industry has initiated a carve-out project to transition an existing unit into an independent company. As part of this project, SAP systems will be partially rebuilt, adapted, and implemented to meet the requirements of the new organization. The goal is to establish efficient, standardized, and future-proof processes tailored to the needs of the new organization.
To successfully execute this project, we are seeking an experienced Senior SAP BW Functional Consultant . This is a full-time role with occasional on-site presence in Hanover. The expected project duration is 6–12 months, with the possibility of extension.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Requirements Analysis and Functional Design: Analyze the existing system landscape and define requirements for adapting or setting up new SAP BW solutions.
- Consultation on SAP BW Implementation: Support the implementation of new SAP BW systems tailored to the specific needs of the carve-out project.
- Optimization of Existing BW Processes: Analyze and enhance existing processes to improve efficiency and performance.
- Assist in the carve-out of an existing unit into an independent company. Ensure data migration and consistency in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Support group-wide ERP transformation programs, from fit/gap analysis to hypercare phases.
- Implement and optimize SAP BW/4HANA or traditional SAP BW processes and integrate them with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP FI/CO, SAP SD, SAP MM).
- Develop cross-functional data reporting solutions to meet the needs of various business areas.
- Collaborate with international teams, stakeholder communities, and end users in a complex global network.
- Promote an agile mindset within the project environment, applying methodologies such as SCRUM or SAFe.
- Prepare documentation and training materials for future users and support teams.
Must Haves
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an SAP BW Consultant.
- At least 10 years of experience in business process management, SAP ERP, S/4HANA, and group-wide ERP transformation programs.
- Deep knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA and traditional SAP BW processes.
- Understanding of other SAP modules (e.g., SAP FI/CO, SAP SD, SAP MM) to support cross-functional data reporting requirements.
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions or hybrid architectures, as well as SAP BI tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage large data sets and complex business requirements.
- Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager.
- Proven international or global experience with a successful track record in leading global projects and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English (written and spoken).
- Agile mindset and experience with agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe).
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to work effectively in complex global networks.
