Overview
As a Solution Engineer at SingleStore, you act as the technical expert guiding customers through evaluating and adopting our data platform. You work with Enterprise Account Executives to close new business and expand existing accounts by designing compelling POCs and demos. You lead the technical evaluation phase, translate customer needs into value, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to relay feedback. This role blends hands-on technical delivery with strategic customer engagement to drive revenue and adoption.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Partner with Account Executives to close new business (logos) and expand existing accounts
- Design, develop, and deploy Proofs of Concept (POCs) with prospective customers
- Drive the technical evaluation stage of the sales cycle, acting as the technical lead (query tuning, load testing, etc.)
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Engineering, etc.) to share customer feedback and requests
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Fluency in English and Native German
- Experience selling enterprise technologies, preferably databases or distributed systems
- Solid understanding of distributed database fundamentals (analytic and transactional)
- Proven track record executing POCs and deploying complex tech into customer environments
- In-depth knowledge of data platforms and familiarity with competitive products (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MongoDB, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud and containerized environments, deployment and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Proficient programming skills in Python, Java, or other languages
- Ability to travel regionally and internationally
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical field
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, and Engineering
