Overview
As a Tactical Buyer, you are responsible for the operational and tactical procurement of materials to ensure on-time production supply (assembly). In close cooperation with internal specialist departments and external suppliers, you will make a decisive contribution to the efficiency and quality of our supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Operational purchasing & order management:
- – Creating and managing orders (end-to-end)
– Ensuring that delivery deadlines are met
– Processing inquiries - Supplier management:
– Maintaining and developing existing supplier relationships
– Negotiating offers and contracts
– Monitoring supplier performance (quality, price, adherence to delivery dates) - Process optimization & centralized deviation management:
– Coordination and follow-up of error cases
– Carrying out root cause analyses
– Identification of weak points and submission of suggestions for improvement
– Active participation in the optimization of processes - Sourcing & market analysis:
– Supporting category management with benchmarking and tenders (RFI, RFP, RFQ)
– Identifying suitable sources of supply as part of project-related procurements - Contract management & compliance:
– Supporting the creation and management of framework agreements
– Ensuring compliance with the procurement policy as well as ESG and compliance guidelines
Hardskills
- Commercial or technical training with further training in the commercial field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in purchasing, ideally in an international environment
- Experience in supplier management
- Preferably experience in direct purchasing in categories such as steel construction, laboratory materials and equipment, microbiology, active ingredients and auxiliary materials as well as filter technology
- Strong understanding of purchasing, logistics and production processes
- Experience with SAP and common Office applications
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- GMP experience an advantage
