Platform Engineer (RHEL and OpenShift) | Frankfurt am Main, DE | Hybrid

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to manage and maintain our client’s critical trading systems running on RedHat Linux and OpenShift platforms. This role provides an exciting opportunity to ensure the smooth operation of high-availability production systems. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the day-to-day operation and support of the environment and trading platform on RedHat Linux and OpenShift.
2. Install software and perform configurations in both Acceptance Test and Production environments.
3. Support business test cases and carry out technical testing.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
5. Design, build, and improve existing and new operational tools.
6. Technical testing and automation of monitoring processes.

Your Profile:

1. Experience with OpenShift platforms, back-office operations, and system configurations.
2. Strong knowledge of Linux system management (Red Hat Enterprise).
3. Practical experience with Linux scripting (bash, Python) and SQL.
4. Experience working in a banking/financial services environment on trading platforms (or similar) would be beneficial but not essential.
5. A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.
6. A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
8. Experience with a major Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
