Job Description

\“The Financial Reporting & Processes department leads all aspects of preparing the consolidated financial statements of Sky Deutschland Group and the related reporting to the parent company. In addition, it\’s our task to analyze accounting principles and to advise the operating divisions and the Finance division on contracts, transactions and projects. We are also the central contact for the design, implementation, maintenance, and development of Finance ERP systems.\“ – Thorsten Dix, Vice President Financial Reporting & Processes / Procurement

Tasks

• Prepare annual financial statements of the individual companies, including notes, management report, and other documents.
• Coordinate with Management, Legal, the Accounting Shared Service Center, and Auditors.
• Initiate accounting instructions to the Shared Service Center for local GAAP.
• Support US GAAP reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Represent the department in projects.

Requirements

• Degree in business administration or equivalent qualification, e.g., qualified accountant, with 6-8 years of experience in financial statement preparation.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP, tax law; US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
• Quick comprehension, analytical, and conceptual skills.
• Independent working style, confident, persuasive.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Flexible, resilient, able to work under stress.
• Proficient in MS Excel; SAP knowledge advantageous.
• Fluent in German and English, written and spoken.
