Skyeton is a Ukrainian-born unmanned aerial systems manufacturer with a 20-year legacy. Among other platforms, it develops long‑endurance unmanned aircraft systems for defence and security missions. Our flagship platform Raybird is recognized as one of the best‑in‑class systems in its category.
Our engineering team works at the edge of what is physically achievable — advancing aerodynamics, guidance, navigation, control, onboard computation and AI‑assisted autonomy to enable persistent, reliable operations in demanding environments.
Role
We are looking for an Electrical Integration Engineer to define and manage the overall electrical architecture and integration of the UAS. You will ensure coherent design across power distribution, wiring, grounding and protection systems, enabling reliable operation in harsh electromagnetic and environmental conditions.
The role requires strong expertise in aircraft electrical systems, EWIS and electromagnetic protection, with a focus on system‑level integration and robustness.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Architecture: Define and maintain the overall electrical architecture including power distribution, grounding and protection concepts.
- EWIS Design: Develop and manage EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) including routing, segregation, shielding and installation practices.
- EM Protection: Ensure compliance and robustness against EMI and HIRF effects through appropriate design, shielding and protection strategies.
- Grounding & Shielding: Define grounding schemes, bonding strategies and cable shielding approaches to ensure electromagnetic compatibility.
- Battery Integration: Support integration of battery systems including electrical interfaces, protection, monitoring and safety considerations.
- Electrical Schematics: Create and maintain electrical diagrams, schematics and wiring documentation under configuration control.
- System Integration: Coordinate with avionics, powertrain and mechanical teams to ensure consistent electrical integration across the platform.
- Testing & Validation: Support electrical testing, troubleshooting and verification activities at system level.
Requirements
- Education: BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- Aircraft Electrical Systems: Experience in aircraft or UAV electrical systems and integration.
- EWIS Knowledge: Familiarity with EWIS design principles, wiring practices and installation constraints.
- EMI Protection: Understanding of EMC, HIRF protection, grounding and shielding techniques.
- Electrical Design Tools: Experience with electrical schematics and design tools (e.g. EPLAN, Zuken, or similar).
- System Integration: Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and manage system‑level electrical interfaces.
Preferred Requirements (good to have)
- Aerospace Standards: Familiarity with standards such as DO-160 (EMC, temperature, pressure, etc.) or equivalent.
- Battery Systems: Experience with battery integration and energy storage systems.
- Testing: Experience with electrical testing, EMC validation or environmental testing.
- UAV / Aerospace: Experience in UAV or aerospace system development.
Why Skyeton
