Are you passionate about hydraulic systems, simulation, and complex engineering challenges? We are looking for a Hydraulic Analysis Engineer to join our System Engineering team in Celle, Germany.

In this role, you will support global projects within the oil and gas industry, working on advanced subsea control systems and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across multiple international locations. This position offers the opportunity to combine deep hydraulic expertise with broader systems engineering responsibilities, contributing to innovative technologies deployed in demanding offshore environments.

What You'll Do

As a Hydraulic Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, simulating, and optimizing hydraulic and chemical distribution systems while ensuring system performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct and document one-dimensional dynamic hydraulic and chemical distribution analyses for subsea control systems.
  • Perform engineering calculations and simulations, including: Pressure drops analysis, Flow sizing and system dimensioning, Thermal management and heat load calculations, Dynamic response analysis, Cavitation risk assessment and Component sizing and selection
  • Ensure analysis methodologies comply with API standards and industry requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Engineers and other technical disciplines to validate simulation models and input parameters.
  • Support hydraulic system testing to verify and validate simulation results.
  • Contribute to continuous product improvement initiatives within hydraulic systems engineering.
  • Prepare technical reports and present simulation results to customers, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and share knowledge across departments and projects.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external partners in a global engineering environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Process Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in engineering, system analysis, simulation, or hydraulic design.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic theory and fluid power systems.
  • Experience with hydraulic schematics and system architecture.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic valves, accumulators, and Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs).
  • Experience performing engineering calculations for integrated hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to understand complete system functionality, not only individual hydraulic components.
  • Strong knowledge of interfaces between hydraulic systems and other engineering disciplines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical challenges.

Who are you?

The successful candidate is an effective communicator who can confidently present complex technical analyses and simulation results to customers, project teams, and other stakeholders. You enjoy working in multidisciplinary environments and can clearly explain technical concepts to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.

You are proactive, results-driven, and take ownership of your work, demonstrating a high level of accountability and professional integrity. With strong interpersonal skills, you thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable working with international teams across different functions and locations. A flexible mindset and willingness to occasionally participate in meetings across global time zones are important for success in this role.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential, as English is the primary language of communication within the global engineering organization. German language skills are considered an advantage but are not mandatory.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work on cutting-edge subsea technology and complex international projects.
  • A highly skilled and collaborative engineering environment.
  • Exposure to global projects and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Long-term career growth within a leading technology-driven organization.
  • Competitive salary package.
