Job Summary

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, retrieval, and maintenance of Cameron Surface Wellhead and Tree Systems, as well as ancillary equipment, in line with company and client procedures.

The role requires hands‑on expertise in field operations, technical problem‑solving, and strong client interaction while working onshore and/or offshore assignments.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide Support/Run SIT on Surface Trees and Wellheads when required.
  • Ensure Health, Safety, and Security & Environmental procedures are adhered to.
  • Provide general technical direction and assistance to the customer in the operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of Cameron products.
  • Provide on‑site interpretation of data and technical instruction.
  • Document non‑conformances in the field via the Quest & Intouch reporting systems within prescribed timelines.
  • Decommission and/or rig down and organize shipping of test equipment, spares or any excess equipment back to the facility.
  • Provide Field Service management with complete and prompt information regarding status of programs, customer problems, failures, trends, and climate.
  • Provide technical assistance through on‑site guidance and training in proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned programs and ground support equipment, including the use and proper interpretation of data and technical instructions.
  • Mentorship, development & guidance of less experienced technicians.
  • Submit customer and service reports, timesheets and job debrief.
  • Assist customer in scheduling maintenance and workload.
  • Assure that equipment and parts meet established schedules.
  • Review reported malfunctions and identify/analyze any undesirable trends.
  • Review effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify training needs.
  • Complete Field Service Orders (FSO) and Competence Checklists before demobilization and ensure that the customer has reviewed and signed the FSO/Competence Checklists applicable to the task.
  • Mechanical/Technical qualification (degree, diploma, or apprenticeship). Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • 2–5 years of relevant field experience (surface wellheads, trees, or related oilfield equipment). Offshore experience is an advantage.
  • Strong report writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and teams.
  • Competency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multicultural environments.
  • Right to work in Germany (mandatory – no visa sponsorship available).
  • Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with high-value, technically complex projects.
