Tasks and Qualifications:

What will you do in this role?

1. Develop, optimize and integrate new control hardware and software for intralogistics products and subsystems, working on control systems such as Siemens S7, Step7 and TIA portal.
2. Analyze customer requests, ensure realization and implement in control solutions.
3. Configure and parameterize field bus systems such as Profibus and Profinet.
4. Configure, test and optimize different drive technology, e.g., with frequency converters.
5. Manage communication interfaces with higher-level computer systems and subsystems including requirement specifications, interface adaptation and interface test.
6. Emulate customer specific software.
7. Commission mechatronic challenges and sub-rules such as Storage and retrieval system at customer sites in Germany and abroad.
8. Analyze and solve errors in delivered systems.
9. Cultivate and manage customer relationships in international markets.
10. Act as the local contact for project-related questions.
11. Create operating and message interfaces for HMI and SCADA solutions.
12. Create and support the documentation and operating instructions.
13. Train customer maintenance personnel on system operations.
14. Understand the feasibility and cost of compliant currency.
15. Test and optimize interfaces between products and subsystems.

What are we looking for?

1. Educated to degree level in electrical or automation technology or experience as a state-recognized technician in the field of automation technology.
2. Proven experience as Controls / PLC engineer or similar position.
3. Knowledge of PLC controls (Siemens S7, Step 7, TIA portal) and bus systems (Profibus, Profinet).
4. Knowledge of electrical drive technology and frequency inverters for controlled motor and servo drives (Siemens / SEW / Dunker).
5. Strong understanding of mechatronics and ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
6. Team player with a customer-focused mindset and excellent communication skills.
7. Full working proficiency in both German and English languages.
8. Willingness to travel within Germany as well as internationally for approx. 50% of the time.
