Title: Land Acquisition Manager – Renewable Energy

About the Role
An international renewable energy developer operating across the European market is currently looking to appoint a Land Acquisition Manager to support the growth of utility-scale solar PV projects across Germany. This opportunity sits within a fast-growing renewable energy environment focused on delivering long-term sustainable infrastructure projects and supporting the wider energy transition across Europe.
With an established international footprint and ambitious expansion plans, the business combines technical expertise, project development capability, and a strong focus on building lasting relationships with local communities and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess land opportunities suitable for utility-scale renewable energy developments.
- Conduct site assessments, cadastral reviews, and support due diligence activities relating to project feasibility.
- Negotiate land agreements, surface rights, and related contracts with landowners and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, local authorities, landowners, and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate closely with development, legal, and technical teams to support project progression.
- Support permitting and approval processes across renewable energy development activities.
- Monitor regulatory developments, market trends, and land acquisition activity within the German renewable energy market.
- Track and support ongoing projects through key development milestones.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Architecture, Environmental Studies, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent industry experience within renewable energy or infrastructure environments will also be considered.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within land acquisition, renewable energy development, real estate negotiation, or related project-driven environments.
- Previous exposure to renewable energy, infrastructure, utility, or real estate development projects preferred.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation capabilities.
- Understanding of permitting, land assessment, and project feasibility processes advantageous.
- Experience using GIS and/or CAD software tools beneficial.
- Fluent German and English language skills essential.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Germany required.
- Candidates should already have the right to work in Germany and be within commuting distance of the office location.
