The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. /p h3Job Description /h3 pbIntroduction /b /p pAs a Planning Engineer within the ATLAS Technical Coordination, you will play a key role in monitoring ATLAS activities during Long Shutdown 3 (LS3). You will be responsible for keeping the installation schedule up to date, reporting any delays, and proposing mitigation measures to recover lost time. The ATLAS schedule is a complex construction programme encompassing several sub-projects. You will collaborate closely with the various Project Engineers and Project Leaders to understand their constraints and support them in implementing any necessary changes to the schedule baseline. You will also join the Project Management Office (PMO) and play a leading role in the preparation of the quarterly status report, assisting the Upgrade Project Leaders in updating the schedule and reporting on progress. /p pbFunctions /b /p ul liDevelop and maintain the ATLAS installation schedules for Long Shutdown 3 (LS3), and actively participate in all schedule baseline changes resulting from the evolution of the LS3 programme. /li liMonitor and review the progress of activities during planning meetings and in close collaboration with Project Engineers. /li liReport any delays to the Technical Coordination Management and propose mitigation measures to recover lost time. /li liContribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the scheduling tools. /li liPlay a leading role in the quarterly status reporting process for the Phase-2 Upgrade projects, and assist the Upgrade Project Leaders in preparing updated schedules, progress reports, and schedule baseline changes. /li liSupervise the ATLAS team responsible for developing and maintaining the interface with the ATLAS Oracle database. Collect requirements for the evolution of the existing ATLAS information-management tools and establish priorities for the maintenance and development activities of the small team of software engineers. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pMaster's degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, or Systems Engineering, or a related field. /p pbExperience: /b /p ul liDemonstrated experience in planning, forecasting, and resource coordination, preferably in an engineering environment, together with strong knowledge of relevant planning software (e.g. MS Project). /li liExperience liaising with internal and external stakeholders. /li liInitial experience in coordinating technical activities. /li liExperience with databases and interfacing tools is an asset. /li liExperience in team supervision is considered an advantage. /li liOrganisation, planning and control. /li liProject management. /li liAssembly and integration of infrastructure for detectors or experimental facilities. /li liImplementation of vision and strategic agility. /li liAchieving Results: delivering high quality work on time and fulfilling expectations. /li liWorking in Teams: building and maintaining constructive and effective work relationships. /li liManaging Self: working well autonomously; taking on activities and tasks without prompting. /li liSolving Problems: recognising what is essential; discriminating between important and peripheral information and being able to see the whole picture. /li /ul pSpoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French. /p h3Additional Information /h3 pbEligibility and closing date: /b /p pDiversity has been an integral part of CERN's mission since its foundation and is an established value of the Organization.
