Job Description

We’re seeking a highly motivated (Senior) Product Marketing Manager for our Spine & Craniomaxillofacial Team who acts as the ambassador of the products inhouse and externally. You’ll play a critical role in our Product Management & Marketing department by promoting customer solutions for our Spine & Craniomaxillofacial solutions. Your main responsibility is to drive and ensure long-term success for the portfolio.

Product Management & Marketing serves as the voice of the customer to internal Brainlab audiences and the voice of Brainlab to the customer. We are responsible for evolving our customer experience and for driving product commercialization by specifying, launching and maturing products.
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for transforming product innovation into compelling customer value propositions and successful market adoption. The role ensures that individual products are positioned within a broader clinical workflow, enabling Brainlab to communicate outcomes and customer benefits rather than isolated features. By partnering closely with Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Sales, Regional- and Corporate Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager drives portfolio-level storytelling, launch excellence, and customer-centric commercialization strategies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Translate the portfolio and product strategy into a comprehensive clinical workflow marketing strategy, ensuring a consistent and compelling value proposition across the entire global customer journey.
  • Drive indication-based and persona-specific storytelling by transforming technical features into clear clinical, operational, and economic benefits for surgeons, hospitals, and healthcare systems.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to shape go-to-market strategies, launch plans, and commercialization activities for new products and solutions, ensuring successful market adoption.
  • Challenge and guide Product Managers to position products within the broader clinical workflow and portfolio strategy, moving beyond isolated feature-focused messaging.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio positioning, messaging frameworks, competitive differentiation, customer personas, and value propositions supported by market insights and clinical evidence.
  • Create global marketing roadmaps and orchestrate integrated product launch campaigns in collaboration with Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Regional Marketing, Sales, and Corporate Marketing.
  • Develop product briefings including target segments, market analyses, positioning, clinical value propositions, customer needs, and competitive intelligence.
  • Own the development of portfolio marketing assets, including workflow presentations, sales enablement materials, customer-facing content, product videos, digital campaigns, websites, and launch toolkits. (supported by Corporate Marketing team)
  • Enable internal and external stakeholders through training programs, sales readiness activities, launch briefings, and educational content.
  • Gather and synthesize customer, market, competitive, and commercial feedback to continuously refine portfolio positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support global customer engagement activities including congresses, customer visits, advisory boards, virtual events, and executive briefings.
  • Measure launch effectiveness and marketing impact through defined commercial and adoption metrics and continuously optimize marketing activities.

Qualifications

In order to exceed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, marketing management or a related discipline
  • 5+ years professional experience managing projects (in a marketing role)and creating effective marketing and sales materials,preferably with know-how in B2B in the medical, software or high-tech industry
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing portfolio marketing, product launch, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong understanding of customer journey mapping, buyer personas, and value-based messaging.
  • Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex solutions to both clinical and executive audiences.
  • Experience translating technical product capabilities into compelling customer outcomes and business value.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both German and English,experience in writing strategic communication briefings, sales presentations and other marketing assets
  • Experience in coordinating larger portfolio- and product (launch) campaigns and supporting with advertising strategies
  • Experience in managing video productions (product demos, clinical workflows, animations) and product photo shootings (Quotebase, collateral) for all product groups on various channels
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Experience working closely with Product Management, Sales, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, and regional organizations.
