Work location: Bergkirchen (relocating to Unterschleißheim at the end of 2027)

Planned start date: January 1, 2027

You will be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance and optimization of data pipelines within our Microsoft Fabric environment. Working closely with senior Data Engineers and business stakeholders, you will help ensure that data is accessible, reliable and available for reporting, analytics and AI-related initiatives.

Your primary focus will be on supporting data ingestion into the Bronze layer, assisting with data transformations within the Silver layer, and contributing to the maintenance of business-ready datasets in the Gold layer. You will collaborate with other Data Engineers to establish new data connections and support data quality initiatives across the organization.

REPA is currently on a journey to consolidate and modernize its enterprise data landscape. As a Data Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting the development of our data platform and ensuring that trusted data is available across the business.

Job Description

  • Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines.
  • Assist in onboarding new data sources into the Microsoft Fabric platform.
  • Support data transformation and data quality activities.
  • Maintain and enhance datasets used for reporting, analytics, and business processes.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to understand data requirements.
  • Monitor data processing and support issue resolution when required.
  • Contribute documentation and continuous improvement of data processes

Qualifications

  • Experience (2-5 years) in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence or Analytics Engineering.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of Azure components and using them efficiently to build data pipelines for AI based application
  • Experience working with SQL and data transformation processes.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience working with ERP or business application data is beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of data modellingand data quality concepts.
