Work location: Bergkirchen (relocating to Unterschleißheim at the end of 2027)

Planned start date: January 1, 2027

You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining REPA data within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your primary focus will be on ensuring reliable data ingestion from Microsoft Fabric into GCP (vice versa), monitoring data flows, validating data consistency and maintaining high standards of data quality across the platforms.

Working closely with Data Engineers, Analytics teams and business stakeholders, you will support the movement of data from source systems through the enterprise data platform and help ensure that data is available, accurate and trusted for reporting and analytical purposes.

You play a key role in monitoring and validating data pipelines, identifying data quality issues, supporting troubleshooting activities and contributing to continuous improvements within the data landscape.

REPA is currently on a journey to further strengthen and expand its enterprise data platform capabilities. As a Data Engineer, you will contribute to building and maintaining reliable data processes that support business operations and decision-making across the group.

Job Description

  • Support data ingestion processes from Microsoft Fabric into Google Cloud Platform and vice versa.
  • Monitor and validate data flows across the enterprise data platform.
  • Perform data quality checks and support data reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies and data processing issues.
  • Maintain and enhance existing data pipelines and integrations.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
  • Collaborate with Infra teams to route data securely.
  • Contribute to documentation of data processes and platform standards.
  • Support ongoing optimization and improvement initiatives across the data platform.
  • Assist in onboarding new data sources and integrations.

Qualifications

  • Experience (2-5 years) in Data Engineering, Data Integrationor Business Intelligence.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Certifications like GCP Data Engineer/Azure Data Engineer is prefered
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Servicesor similar platforms.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and experience with data transformation processes.
  • Experience building, monitoring, or supporting ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Understanding of data quality, reconciliationand validation processes.
  • Experience working with enterprise ERP, CRM or business application data is an advantage.
  • Understanding of data modelling and lakehouseconcepts is beneficial.
