The Assurance Financial Services department performs audit and advisory services for national and international financial services providers. With our innovative services in auditing globally active financial institutions, we make an important contribution to the stability of the financial markets and thus put our purpose \“Building a better Working World\“ into practice in our daily work with our clients.

The opportunity

As an Audit Senior at EY you will work with some of the world’s leading Banks and Insurance companies and other multi- as well as national clients for whom we provide our audit services.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients\‘ satisfaction. Proactively maintain contact with the client throughout the year.
• Coordinating the translation of the audit strategy to detailed audit programs.
• You will help us to grow our dynamic practice through the development of trusted client relationships and high performing teams.
• Furthermore, you will be involved in the audits of local and international financial service providers which prepare their financial statements in accordance with Swiss or international accounting standards.
• Delivery of FINMA supplementary audits on special audit topics.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

• You have at least 2 – 4 years audit experience.
• Recent and direct working experience with Swiss or international accounting standards.
• Thorough understanding of the current business environment, processes and systems landscape in the financial service industry.
• Assertive and proactive approach, good organizational skills.
• Ability to network effectively within large organizations and build relationships with individuals and clients, based on doing the right thing.
• You demonstrate integrity, respect and teaming.
• You have energy, enthusiasm and the courage to lead.
• Fluent in English; German is a big plus.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Additional qualification, e.g. you are currently studying to become a Swiss CPA or ACCA.
• Audit experience within the Banking, Insurance or Fund sector.
