About Smith+Nephew: Smith+Nephew is a leading medical technology company dedicated to developing products that enable a life without limitations.

We are seeking a Technology Sales Specialist to strengthen our Enabling Technologies division and prepare for the market launch of new surgical technologies. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets for operating room towers in your region, which include complex investment goods such as camera systems, visualization accessories, pumps, and documentation systems, essential for arthroscopic and endoscopic procedures.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales representatives, advise customers on our solutions, and demonstrate the value they bring. You will report to the Business Development Manager for Advanced Enabling and Digital Technologies SportsMed DACH.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets for operating room towers and related products in outpatient and inpatient sectors.
  • Coordinate with regional sales management and field sales to develop sales strategies and position our portfolio effectively.
  • Consult with customers and highlight the benefits of our solutions.
  • Work with the sales team on proposals, pricing, and negotiations.
  • Organize demonstrations, install systems, train customers, and provide support.
  • Collect data on installed components and update CRM systems.
  • Build strong customer relationships and ensure positive customer experiences.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement measures in collaboration with the field sales team.
  • Observe market trends and collaborate with marketing to identify potential opportunities.
  • Work with marketing to introduce new technical and digital solutions and develop sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a technical field or relevant professional training with experience (e.g., medical field, OTA/CTA).
  • At least 3 years of experience in selling complex products, ideally in medical technology or surgical equipment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • High customer service orientation, strong communication skills, and success-driven attitude.
  • Team player with organizational skills and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and forecasting.
  • Fluent in German and good English skills.
  • Valid driver\’s license and willingness to travel approximately 80% within the specified region.

Preferred: Experience with digital operating room products and knowledge in sports medicine, arthroscopy, endoscopy, or orthopedics.
