Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision)

Snap Labs AR is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the R&D team in Vienna, Austria. In this role, you will work on state-of-the-art machine learning technologies to bridge the real and virtual worlds with next-generation wearable computing devices. You will collaborate closely with hardware and software teams worldwide.

What you’ll do:

• Develop novel technologies for wearable AR devices.
• Advance state-of-the-art machine learning and computer vision algorithms.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in computer vision, machine learning, and graphics.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Deep understanding of machine learning principles, frameworks, and solutions for computer vision tasks.
• Ability to debug, improve existing code, and develop new algorithms using advanced techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for learning and helping colleagues improve.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field.
• 2+ years of research or engineering experience in machine learning approaches such as object detection, tracking, scene understanding, or neural scene representation.
• Experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and cloud environments like GCP or AWS.
• Proficiency in Python or C++ programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MSc in a related field (Computer Vision, Machine Learning).
• Experience with neural network optimization techniques for resource-constrained devices.
• Knowledge of geometric computer vision methods such as multi-view reconstruction, SLAM, depth estimation, etc.
