For our Professional Services & Training team in Germany, we are looking for technology thought leaders with a strong background in building data platforms who enjoy leveraging their skills to generate value and enhance data teams. Our team assists customers on their data journey with Snowflake, the central data platform for organizations of all sizes. This role involves working on some of the most challenging data projects worldwide, in a post-sales capacity. Fluency or native proficiency in German is required.

What We Do:

We are Snowflake’s Professional Services team, providing expert advisory services to help customers build enterprise solutions that transform their businesses. Our engagements range from migration projects to greenfield implementations, guiding customers from initial setup to deploying hundreds of use cases, especially in complex data management and governance challenges. We aim to be our customers\‘ trusted technology advisors and maximize their Snowflake investment.

Role of a Solutions Architect at Snowflake:

• Engage with multiple Snowflake customers
• Lead technical streams of client data platform implementations and onboarding efforts
• Coordinate with Customer Engagement and Delivery teams for technical guidance, project management, and support
• Collaborate with Engineering, Support, Sales, and Marketing teams
• Troubleshoot implementations and integrate Snowflake within customer ecosystems
• Identify, document, and track issues for resolution
• Contribute to team growth through documentation, process optimization, and cross-training
• Apply industry and technology expertise to client projects
• Gather customer feedback to inform product development

Candidate Requirements:

We seek individuals with a proven track record in building cloud data platforms and strong consulting skills. Candidates should have 12+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, with expertise in:

• Distributed systems, MPP technologies (Snowflake, Teradata, Spark, etc.) and performance tuning
• Data strategies and frameworks (Data Mesh, Data Vault, Data Governance, etc.)
• Data modeling concepts (Lake, Warehouse, Kimball, 3NF)
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) fundamentals
• Data engineering (batch/stream processing, SQL, Python, Snowpark, etc.)
• BI and analytics tools (Tableau, PowerBI, SAS, etc.) and techniques
• AI/ML concepts such as classification, clustering, NLP, etc.

The ideal candidate can bring clarity to complex environments, lead stakeholder engagements at all levels, and has industry experience in Finance, Retail, or Healthcare & Life Sciences. Presence in Germany with the ability to work remotely and occasional travel across EMEA is expected.
