Overview
At Snowflake you will play a central role in reinventing how data teams work. As a Technical Architect you will partner with Snowflake customers in a post‑sales capacity, leading technical streams of data platform implementations, providing expert advisory services, and helping customers migrate or build greenfield projects on Snowflake. What a Technical Architect At Snowflake Does
Engage with several Snowflake customers Lead technical streams of client data platform implementations and on‑boarding efforts Work with the Customer Engagement and Delivery matrix resources to ensure proper technical guidance, project management and functional support Collaborate as needed with different Snowflake organisations: Engineering, Support, Sales and Marketing Help clients troubleshoot their implementations and integrate the product within their ecosystem Identify, document, triage and track issues to ensure resolution Actively contribute to the growth and scalability of the Customer Delivery and Training & Education teams through robust documentation, continuous process optimization, and capability cross‑training Apply industry and technology expertise to client implementations Gather intelligent product feedback and recommendations from customers to design and inform new features and capabilities What Are We Looking For
We are seeking individuals with a strong track record in building best‑in‑class cloud data platforms and solid consulting skills. 5+ years of experience in a customer‑facing technical role Hands‑on experience with distributed systems and massively parallel processing technologies such as Snowflake, Teradata, Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Oracle, SQL Server and performance optimisation Expertise in data strategies and methodologies (Data Mesh, Data Vault, Data Fabric, Data Governance, Data Management, Enterprise Architecture) Deep knowledge of data organization and modeling concepts (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Medallion architecture, Kimball dimensional modelling, 3NF normalisation) Understanding of infrastructure concepts across cloud hyperscalers (AWS, Azure), IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, encryption, IAM and disaster recovery planning Proficiency in data engineering frameworks (batch/stream processing, replication, SQL, DBT, Talend, Informatica, Python, Snowpark, PySpark, DataFrames, storage formats such as Parquet, Avro, Iceberg, Delta Lake, orchestration and DevOps) Experience with BI and analytics solutions (Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, ThoughtSpot, SAS, Streamlit) and advanced SQL or statistical analysis techniques Fundamental AI/ML knowledge (classification, regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction, NLP, language models) Benefits
