A specialist Microsoft Partner is looking for a Senior (Fabric) Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of modern lakehouse platforms for enterprise clients. This is a hands‑on engineering and architecture role with real influence, you will shape how data is structured, governed, and made accessible across complex organisations. What you'll be doing

Designing and implementing modern lakehouse architectures on Azure, including data integration, storage, and compute layer decisions Establishing centralised governance, access control, and compliance frameworks across the data platform Building DataOps practices - automated monitoring, cost management, and pipeline reliability at scale Advising internal and client stakeholders on platform strategy and the business impact of technical decisions Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to architecture direction and code quality What you bring

5+ years of experience designing and operating Azure data platforms at scale Strong knowledge of Fabric Designed and built best‑in‑class data platforms Strong foundations in data architecture, distributed systems, data modelling, and performance optimisation Hands‑on experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and DevOps practices in a data engineering context Placed exclusively by SO Digital Recruitment - specialist search for Senior Microsoft Data & AI talent across DACH.
