Financial Controller / Financial Accountant (m/f/d)

Overview

In this role you will manage regular controlling and cost reporting for the branch, ensuring IFRS, HGB, and local GAAP compliance. You will close monthly, quarterly, and annually, and assist with transfer pricing support and local file updates. You act as a reliable liaison for internal and external auditors and collaborate with global SSCs. You will engage in accounting or regulatory projects, coordinating progress within your team. This is an opportunity to contribute to a major international bank’s finance function in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Prepare regular controlling dashboards for NBI and costs, including cost allocations and inter-entity recharges
• Execute month-, quarter-, and annual-closing and validate bookings per IFRS, HGB, and local GAAP
• Support transfer pricing activities, including local file updates and TP agreement follow-up
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external auditors
• Collaborate with shared service centers in Bucharest and Bangalore
• Participate in accounting/regulatory project implementations and coordinate project progress within the team and divisions

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Degree in Business Administration or Economics or comparable education
• Several years' experience as controller or accountant in banking with knowledge of balance sheet analysis and IFRS/HGB accounting rules
• Interest in the product range of a major internationally operating bank (including trading products)
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• German and French are a plus
