Societe Generale Global Transaction Banking (GTB) includes payment and cash management, cash clearing services, trade services, factoring and foreign exchange services associated to these activities.

GTB integrates all the expertise and services required to facilitate the daily transactional activities of major economic and financial actors both in a domestic and international scope.

The responsiveness, dynamism and market knowledge of our teams, and the breadth of our products allow us to optimise the daily management of cash flow, commercial and financial transactions for corporate clients and Non‑Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI).

Responsibilities

The GTB Junior Sales contributes to the delivery of the global financial trajectory by supporting senior sales, acting as the day‑to‑day GTB client entry point for commercial topics and having direct client commercial objectives.

  • Supporting senior sales on commercial activities: pitch preparation, client meetings, credit file preparation, local RFP analysis, business feasibility analysis, follow‑up actions.
  • Identifying sales potential from client interactions and directly managing simple client business upside requests.
  • Ensuring data quality of commercial activity.
  • Preparing local portfolio reviews, GTPS annual relationship reviews, business committee preparation and annual price reviews.
  • Being proactive in local deployment of specific commercial campaigns and business lines pushes.
  • Realising specific commercial analysis (client profitability, product equipment, etc.) in collaboration with other desk actors.
  • Ensuring and overseeing timely response to client inquiries.
  • Directly managing portfolio of clients, building and delivering the GTB commercial plan for the portfolio.
  • Day‑to‑day GTB client entry point for front‑end matters and transferring non‑commercial topics to Client Service Unit.
  • Handling credit documentation and maintaining related systems.
  • Following up on contract negotiation.
  • Co‑ordinating onboarding and operation of complex & strategic GTB clients with Client Service Unit.
  • Ensuring compliance with GTPS risk appetite framework.
  • Profile Required
  • Studies & Experience
  • Master’s degree.
  • 2‑3 years of experience in commercial banking, cash management, trade finance or working capital.
  • Language Skills
  • English: C1.
  • French and/or German – Nice to have.
  • Additional languages advantageous.
  • Technical, Operational & Soft Skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) and superior analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Expertise in one or more GTB products for corporates and NBFI.
  • Good knowledge of GTB bank processes and product implications.
  • Strong listening skills and capacity to understand client needs and identify opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, client relationship, team and communication skills.
  • Commercial and performance drive, ethics and risk culture.
  • Results oriented, proactive, precise, accurate.
  • Time management, organisational and planning skills with proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills; additional languages useful.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and confident in presenting to clients and senior management.
