Overview
In this role you guide and manage international trade finance requests, specializing in guarantees and letters of credit. You collaborate with front office, operations, and back office to ensure compliant, timely processing and accurate fee handling. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, translating operational needs into precise amendments and resolutions. This position offers exposure to cross-functional trade services within a globally active bank and a culture focused on service excellence.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Manage end-to-end process for incoming bank guarantees (issuance, amendment, cancellation)
- Support issuance, amendment, document presentation and cancellation of import/export letters of credit (LC)
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines
- Act as first point of contact with customers to discuss request specifics and discrepancies
- Monitor fees, debit processing (MT499), and prepare invoices in collaboration with back office
- Prepare internal/external monthly business reports and statistics
- Report to GTB Head of Client Service
- Collaborate with GTB Front Office and assist Senior Trade Bankers
- Support execution of Permanent Supervision Controls
Zentrale Anforderungen
- University degree in Finance/Business Administration or related area (bank apprenticeship)
- Deep knowledge of bank guarantees
- Basic knowledge of Letters of Credit
- 3+ years in a Trade Finance Department in a Bank
- Strong teamwork and client-oriented attitude
- Proficient MS Office skills
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken); French an advantage
