Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Sales Manager role based in Munich. The Senior Sales Manager will lead end-to-end sales activities, including prospecting, qualifying leads, conducting discovery calls, and delivering tailored product demos to enterprise customers in manufacturing and process industries. This role will own complex sales cycles, develop account strategies, manage pipelines, and negotiate commercial terms to close new business and expand existing accounts. The Senior Sales Manager will collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to refine messaging, support pilots and proof-of-concept projects, and ensure a smooth handover into implementation. The position also involves gathering market feedback, contributing to go-to-market plans, and representing SDA at industry events and customer meetings.

Qualifications

  • Track record in B2B software or industrial automation sales, preferably selling to OT, manufacturing, or process industry customers.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals, including account planning, pipeline management, and accurate forecasting.
  • Strong skills in customer discovery, solution selling, and delivering compelling demos and presentations to technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to negotiate commercial agreements, build long-term relationships, and drive upsell and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, OT infrastructure, or DevOps concepts (version control, CI/CD, compliance) is highly beneficial.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced scale-up environment, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and improving sales processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are a strong advantage for the Munich-based role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
