THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Owner for our Cloud Services team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud technologies, works in agile teams, and has a passion for renewable energy. This role will support in defining and executing the product strategy and roadmap, as well as supporting cloud service offerings outside of China.
You will help to expand and shape our cloud services and API portfolio which enhances our solar, battery storage, and EV solutions. You will work closely with our customers and regional teams throughout the world, as well as our Cloud Services teams in Shanghai and Suzhou, China.
Reporting to the head of the Cloud Services team in Shanghai with a dotted line to product management in Europe, you will ensure that our customers and partners can easily integrate with our services using familiar technologies and clear documentation.
You will be involved in numerous exciting applications from monitoring and cloud-based energy management to integration with virtual-power-plant (VPP) aggregators essential to our business.
Additionally, you will define and drive our analytics platform drawing upon the data from many thousands of solar and battery storage plants.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership in the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based services and APIs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, sales, and support teams to ensure successful product development, launch, and adoption.
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, understand pain points, and validate product concepts.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities and threats, ensuring our cloud services remain competitive.
- Roadmap Development: Help create and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer needs, market trends, and business impact.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of cloud services, making data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of cloud services development experience. Product management or ownership experience is an advantage, as is experience within renewables.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud), and SaaS models.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, market research, and competitive analysis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Being fluent in English is required and being fluent in German is an advantage.
- Collaboration: Proven track record of collaborating in cross-functional teams and driving or supporting successful product launches.
- Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
