Calibration Specialist in Ostfildern

We are hiring for an experience Calibration Specialist to join our team's client - a global manufacturer of advanced spectroscopic systems used to solve some of the world's most complex scientific and industrial challenges. They are looking for a Calibration Specialist to join their team in Southern Germany. You'll work closely with the engineering and customer support teams, help shape next-generation spectroscopic systems and improve the customer experience.

What you'll do

• Align, calibrate and test optical test equipment accurately and in line with established procedures.
• Record and document calibration data.
• Identify significant deviations and trends in test results.
• Maintain equipment and the work environment in line with procedures.
• Work with fellow technicians, customer service colleagues and customers.
• Follow and uphold ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 standards, and raise any issues that could affect compliance.
• Apply 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain) every day to keep the work area clean, orderly and safe.
• Keep customer information confidential at all times.
• Take on other related responsibilities as needed.

What you'll bring

• A bachelor's degree in electronics or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• A strong foundation in mathematics, physics and engineering.
• Knowledge of photodetectors, detector systems and fibre optics would be ideal.
• 5+ years of experience in calibration and metrology.
• Hands-on experience with inspection, measurement and test equipment.
• Strong written and spoken English and German.
• A strong work ethic, curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.
