Regional Procurement Site Buyer (F/M/X)

About the role

• Join Solvay\’s EMEA Regional Procurement team, composed of 27 people, where you\’ll report to the Senior Regional Procurement Site Buyer in Rheinberg. As a Site Procurement Buyer, you will support the management of sourcing & tactical purchasing activities for the site, aligned with Solvay Procurement Governance. Collaborate with category managers to develop and implement strategies, analyze spend and operational issues, and support operational improvements. Develop relationships with local suppliers and ensure procurement policies are followed.
• You will be accountable for:
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers for optimal pricing and terms.
  • Managing site contracts within authorized limits.
  • Executing spot and emergency purchases within authority, with risk mitigation.
  • Supporting procurement strategies, policies, and supplier relationship management.
  • Participating in procurement networking and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Escalating deviations and claims as necessary.
  • Ensuring timely price updates and follow-up in systems.
• This role offers a permanent contract with a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence 3-4 days per week.

About you

• Bachelor\’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields.
• 2-3 years procurement experience, industrial experience is a plus.
• Analytical skills, technical knowledge of production plants, regional regulatory knowledge.
• Proficiency in ERP & Business Warehouse.
• Fluent in English and German.

• Competitive salary range: €66,000 to €80,000, based on skills and experience, plus incentives.
