Site Finance Head Switzerland

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Finance Head to lead the financial operations at our site in Kaiseraugst. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making processes to support business objectives. This position will require a dynamic leader with strong financial and business acumen and the ability to partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive profitability, efficiency, and growth.

Job Description

• Financial Leadership:
  • Lead and manage the site\’s finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the site\’s leadership team, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to site management on all financial matters, providing insights to optimize performance.
• Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the site’s operational and strategic plans.
  • Lead cost management initiatives and identify opportunities for cost reduction or efficiency improvements.
• Accounting & Compliance:
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulations.
  • Manage internal controls and ensure proper financial processes are adhered to in line with corporate governance and audit requirements.
  • Oversee tax reporting and compliance for the site, collaborating with external advisors as needed.
• Operational Support:
  • Partner with site operations teams to drive performance improvements, cost control measures, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze financial trends to inform decision-making.
  • Provide financial insight into production, inventory, and supply chain management, supporting operational excellence.
• Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead and develop the local finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Provide mentorship and training to finance team members, ensuring continuous professional development.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including senior management, operations, and external auditors.
  • Communicate financial performance and key issues to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Bachelor\’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial management, with a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in managing a finance team and working with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with MS Dynamics 365 is a plus.
