Job Description The Consolidation & Reporting Manager supports the finance organisation within a CRO environment and reports to the Head of Controlling, Reporting & Consolidation. As a key member of Group Finance, this role owns and executes the end-to-end group consolidation and management reporting process, delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to senior leadership. The role combines hands‑on consolidation work with ownership of management reporting and performance analysis, including the preparation of Board‑level materials. You will act as a central point of contact for group reporting and work closely with entity finance teams and senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities Group Consolidation
Own and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation process (actuals, budget, and forecast where applicable) across all legal entities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with Swiss GAAP FER (IFRS exposure is a plus)
Perform and review consolidation journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Manage and govern the intercompany reconciliation and elimination process, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies across entities
Oversee foreign currency translation, intercompany balances, and consolidation adjustments
Maintain and further develop the consolidation model and chart of accounts in Tagetik
Review and challenge entity submissions to ensure accuracy and consistency
Management Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly management reporting packages for senior management and the Board
Lead the preparation of Board presentations, including clear financial messaging
Provide variance analysis, bridge analysis, and performance insights to support decision‑making
Oversee CAPEX reporting and analysis, ensuring alignment with budget and actuals
Own and continuously improve the group close process, calendar, and reporting cadence
Ensure robust internal controls over the consolidation and reporting processes
Drive automation, standardisation, and optimisation of reporting workflows
Act as system owner for consolidation tools (Tagetik), ensuring data integrity and efficient use
Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering
Serve as key contact for group reporting topics across finance teams and senior stakeholders
Coordinate reporting across entities and ensure alignment with group requirements
Challenge and guide local finance teams to ensure high‑quality and consistent financial data
Support cross‑functional initiatives and provide financial expertise as needed
Projects & Ad Hoc Activities
Lead or contribute to special projects (e.g. reporting enhancements, process improvements)
Deliver ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
6+ years of relevant experience in group consolidation and financial reporting in an international environment
Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER (IFRS exposure is a plus)
Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments with complex intercompany structures
Extensive hands‑on experience with Tagetik (required), including ownership of consolidation and reporting processes
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics)
Advanced Excel skills and strong capabilities in financial analysis and reporting
Track record of driving process improvements, automation, and close cycle optimisation
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ownership mentality
Effective communication skills with the ability to work across functions and seniority levels
Fluent in English (written and spoken); German or French is a strong advantage
Experience in CDMO, pharma, biotech, or life sciences is a plus
