Would you like to shape the architecture behind the next generation of charging solutions for hearing devices? In this role, you will take technical ownership of the Charging Solutions domain, covering electronics, embedded software, mechanical interfaces and connectivity across the wider product ecosystem. You will define scalable platform architecture, guide development teams and suppliers, and turn complex requirements into robust, reusable solutions. More about the role Take technical and architectural ownership of the Charging Solutions domain, guiding the development team, setting priorities and supporting effective delivery. Design charging architectures spanning electronics and embedded software, while ensuring effective integration with mechanical components. Define strategic, reusable platform elements and interfaces between chargers, hearing instruments, production software and application software. Translate customer, system and stakeholder needs into solutions that balance functionality, performance, quality, cost and long-term maintainability. Review electronic schematics, embedded software architecture and selected code, with hands-on programming representing approximately 10–20% of the role. Work closely with external suppliers, review their technical solutions and influence architectural decisions throughout the development chain. Make sound technical decisions in complex or uncertain situations and ensure compliance with medical-device, cybersecurity and privacy requirements. Document and communicate architectural decisions while promoting technical learning, best practices and continuous improvement across teams. More about you Must have A Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems or a related technical discipline. At least five years of professional experience in hardware and/or embedded software development, including hands-on experience with charging solutions. Strong knowledge of electrical hardware and electronic schematics, combined with a solid understanding of embedded software architecture and the ability to review code. Experience designing complex hardware-software systems and managing dependencies across electronics, software, mechanics and connected applications. A pragmatic and decisive approach, with the ability to navigate uncertainty, evaluate technical trade-offs and drive solutions forward. Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical groups and influence internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Strong communication and negotiation skills, together with professional fluency in English. Nice to have Experience working in a regulated environment, particularly in the medical-device industry. An architecture certification, such as iSAQB, or a PhD in a relevant technical field. Experience in technical leadership, agile development or technology assessment.
