, you will lead a team responsible for evaluating and optimizing the sound quality and performance of Sonova's hearing solutions.

Working closely with experts across Signal Processing, Audiology, Software Engineering, Verification, and other R&D functions, you will ensure that innovative technologies translate into measurable end‑user benefit and excellent hearing experiences.

You will guide your team throughout the development process, balancing technical excellence, product quality, timelines and customer value while translating strategic direction into successful execution.

  • Lead and develop a team of sound quality engineers, creating an environment that fosters collaboration, ownership and continuous development.
  • Lead the sound quality engineering activities for Sonova's hearing solutions, ensuring excellent end‑user benefit and outstanding hearing experiences.
  • Translate strategic roadmaps into clear priorities and actionable objectives for your team.
  • Guide the development, verification, and optimization of new hearing functions and technologies together with cross‑functional engineering teams.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Signal Processing, Audiology, Software Engineering, Verification and other R&D disciplines.
  • Drive evidence‑based decisions through technical evaluations, performance measurements and user‑focused validation.
  • Balance innovation, product quality, technical feasibility, timelines and resources throughout the development process.
  • Continuously improve development methods, tools and engineering processes while supporting a culture of learning and innovation.

  • Must‑have
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, Biomedical Engineering or a comparable technical or scientific discipline.
  • At least

5 years of professional experience in engineering, acoustics, signal processing or a comparable R&D environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, for example by leading projects, technical workstreams or serving as a (deputy) team lead.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and managing a broad range of technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate strategic direction into practical execution.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Nice to have
  • Experience within the medical device industry.
  • Experience in hearing technology or audiology‑related products.
  • Familiarity with regulated development environments.
