Position Overview

Sopheon is looking for a Senior QA Analyst to validate and test value-based strategic products for our customers. We work with expert colleagues to combine design, business, and engineering skills to achieve high value end-to-end customer experience in everything we deliver. Team members utilize standards and best practices to assure the usability, quality, maintainability, performance, and scalability of our products developed through collaborative agile processes. Duties and Responsibilities

Working as a Team Member:

• Establish and meet individual, team, and project goals to strategically deliver the product roadmap with consistency and quality using Agile processes.
• Deliver consistent results aligned with the product roadmap expectations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and with subject matter experts to deliver high-quality and high-value products.
• Resolve technical hurdles to provide optimal solutions that meet or exceed solution and delivery expectations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile development methods, including metric definition, quality processes, and general software development practices.

Working as a QA Professional:

• Develop end to end test strategies, coordinate test plans, and author test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the business to operationalize a sustainable and effective testing pyramid.
• Report and manage story bugs, collaborating with the development team to address them in a timely and thorough manner.
• Work closely with product management to ensure the product aligns with the end-user vision.
• Provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality.
• Engage in continuous automated testing activities throughout Agile development iterations.
• Support continuous automated testing by preparing environments, running tests, reporting issues, writing test cases, and potentially writing automated tests.

Technical Skills and Experience - Required

• Usage of API/Request Testing tools (ex. Postman, Fiddler, etc.)
• Basic Database management and Querying (Postgre SQL Server Preferred)
• Writing and Using SQL Queries
• Backing up and Restoring Databases
• Test Data Management
• Usage with Katalon, Cypress, Selenium, or other automation frameworks/tools
• Working knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell)
• Usage of Browser Development tools for troubleshooting and initial analysis
• Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD tools (such as AWS Code Pipelines, Bamboo, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Knowledge of version control tools like (Git preferred)

Other Technical Skills - Nice to have

• Application Profiling and Analysis, using tools like DataDog, Solarwinds DPA
• Experience with Load Testing tools (JMeter preferred)
• AWS Cloud Services

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or related discipline.
• 4+ years' experience in software quality assurance testing.
