You will have direct input to our mission to democratize data-driven medicine for the ultimate benefit of cancer and rare disease patients across the globe. /p h3Your Mission /h3 pWe are looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to strengthen our Engineering Hub — a small, nimble team that takes new product ideas from 0 to 1. You will be a builder and a mentor: shipping full-stack product features, and bringing hands‑on experience with production LLM applications so the whole team levels up. Your first flagship AI project will draft evidence-grounded gene and variant descriptions, with sources and citations, for clinical interpreters to review. /p h3The value you bring: /h3 h3Product engineering /h3 ul liDesign, build, test, deploy and maintain full-stack web features and microservices, owning components end to end. /li liLead code and design reviews; mentor junior engineers and raise the team's engineering quality. /li liPrototype fast and iterate — take early ideas to working, reliable software. /li liCollaborate with Product, QA, Architecture and PMO to align delivery with product vision and regulatory needs /li /ul h3Applied AI / LLM /h3 ul liBuild retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines over curated clinical data sources and internal databases. /li liDesign system and task-specific prompts, structured output, and provenance/citation handling. /li liBuild LLM evaluation into the product: graders and evaluation pipelines that score accuracy, relevance and grounding, plus guardrails that verify citations resolve and are relevant. /li liUse managed LLM endpoints on Azure AI Foundry effectively (caching, tools, structured output), and share these practices with the team. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 h3Must have: /h3 ul li5–7 years building and releasing reliable web-based services to production. /li liBack-end: strong Java and SQL, microservice architecture.
