We’re seeking a Product Designer to join our Ads Team . This team is pivotal in designing ad experiences that balance business objectives, revenue, and an engaging user experience for free listeners. The role involves integrating ads seamlessly into the platform to maintain user satisfaction and encourage subscriptions.
As a Product Designer, you will influence the platform’s ad integration, ensuring they are visually appealing, engaging, and effective. Collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams, you will develop innovative ad solutions that improve user experience and support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate & Collaborate
- Present design ideas to cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, and Design
- Engage engineers and product managers in creative processes through sprints and workshops
- Update stakeholders on project progress and insights
- User-Centered Design & Research
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify user pain points and opportunities
- Analyze competitors and industry trends in ad design
- Use benchmarking to inform brainstorming and ideation
- Visual & Interaction Design
- Ensure ads align with platform aesthetics, making them seamless and elegant
- Contribute to defining design system components focused on ads
- Refine ad formats, interactions, and layouts for better UX
- Data-Driven & Experimentation Mindset
- Use KPIs and experiments to guide design decisions
- Design and optimize experiment setups to validate hypotheses
- Analyze data and user metrics for continuous improvement
- Support UXR research and testing for holistic insights
- Highly Collaborative & Hands-On
- Work closely with engineers on technical constraints and implementation
- Maintain clear design documentation
- Prototyping, user interviews, workshops, and idea iteration
- Collaborate with RevOps, Data Science, and other stakeholders
Experience and Background
- User-centric design approach aligned with business goals
- 2-5 years in Product Design, preferably with digital advertising or B2C platforms
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good aesthetic sense and knowledge of ad experience best practices
- Experience with user research, A/B testing, and data-driven design
- Proficiency in Figma, FigJam, and Miro
- Familiarity with frontend/backend concepts is a plus
