For one of our leading customers in the fintech space across North Rhine Westphalia, we are keen to expand our data opportunity and are looking for a skilled senior Data Engineer to join our team and help us build scalable, high-performance data infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Build and optimize data architectures for structured and unstructured data.
- Work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to ensure data availability and quality.
- Implement and manage cloud-based (AWS, Azure, or GCP) data platforms and databases.
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize query performance and manage large-scale data processing.
- Automate workflows and improve system reliability using DevOps best practices.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, big data, or related fields.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Snowflake.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Airflow, dbt, Talend, or similar).
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehousing.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus but not required.
