MES System Engineer

We are looking for an experienced MES System Engineer to support manufacturing systems within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical/biotech environment . This is 1 year contract with possibility of extension, on-site in Visp.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve MES systems, standards and architectures
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting and system optimization
• Support MES enhancements, upgrades, deployments and lifecycle activities
• Maintain electronic batch records (EBR) and manufacturing workflows
• Prepare and review GxP documentation, specifications, risk assessments, testing documentation, change controls and SOPs
• Support commissioning, qualification and validation
• Integrate MES with automation systems, historians, ERP and other manufacturing applications
• Work closely with Automation, IT, Validation, Quality and Manufacturing teams
• Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity and GMP compliance

Your Profile

• Degree in Automation Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Hands‑on experience with MES / Manufacturing IT / OT systems in a pharmaceutical, biotech or life sciences environment
• Experience with MES platforms such as PAS-X, Syncade, PharmaSuite, Opcenter or similar
• Good understanding of GMP, GAMP, GxP and CSV
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, batch execution and electronic records
• Knowledge of IT/OT infrastructure, industrial networking, VMware and server environments
• Experience integrating MES with ERP, historians and automation platforms
• English and/or German
