Senior Data Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven initiatives. Your Profile
7 + years of experience working with modern data technologies as a Data Engineer, Data Analytics Engineer, Big Data Engineer, or similar role Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) Authorized to work in Switzerland (applications from candidates without the necessary work authorization will not be considered) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field Key Technical Skills
Strong experience with Python and SQL (minimum 7 years) Proven expertise in building data ingestion pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouse architectures Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, design patterns, and building highly scalable data solutions Hands‑on experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Apache Spark, HBase, Kafka, Impala, ELK Stack, ETL/ELT Experience with Cloudera is highly desirable Experience with modern cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse), AWS, or GCP Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, or similar modern data platforms Strong experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices Experience supporting analytics, machine learning, or AI workloads is a plus Responsibilities
