Your Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and evaluate algorithms for spectral analysis
- Develop, maintain and extend signal processing pipelines and instrument automation procedures
- Analyze mass spectrometry measurement data: isotopic ratios, repeatability, uncertainties and instrument performance
- Contribute to collaborative software development: code reviews, unit and integration tests, CI/CD pipelines
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team in an agile environment, operating close to the limits of physics
Your Profile
- A degree in Data Science, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or a related field
- Strong statistical analysis skills and the ability to critically evaluate experimental results
- Practical experience writing production-quality Python code
- Proficiency in Git and collaborative software development practices (code review, CI/CD)
- Structured, self-driven working style - proactive about surfacing open questions and next steps
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for solving complex technical problems as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Background in signal processing, analytical data pipelines, time-series analysis or spectroscopic data is a plus
- Fluent in English, German proficiency is a plus
