Role overview
A Barcelona-based mobile game studio is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer for its Central Analytics team. The role builds high-quality data marts, internal tooling, and AI-powered workflows that support game analysts and shape the player experience. It sits inside a modern data stack serving large-scale player datasets across multiple live games.
Responsibilities
- Write and optimize complex SQL for experimentation support and feature engineering on large player datasets.
- Design, build, and maintain cross-game data marts that deliver clean, analyst-ready data.
- Develop scalable, reusable code, tools, and frameworks adopted across multiple game teams.
- Partner with game analytics counterparts to co-design and maintain shared data products.
- Build and maintain end-to-end AI pipelines that support day-to-day analyst workflows.
- Share knowledge with game analysts by coaching them on coding and software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or physics.
- Advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, query optimization, and work with large-scale data warehouses.
- Advanced experience building and maintaining production data pipelines using tools like Airflow, Docker, S3, and CI/CD.
- Advanced Python experience for production-level analytics solutions.
- Basic to intermediate experience integrating LLMs or generative AI tools and workflows.
- Collaborative, communicative team player who is detail-oriented and pragmatic about trade-offs.
Nice to have
- Experience building dashboards in Tableau or a comparable BI tool.
- Background in the mobile gaming industry.
- Background in marketing analytics.
