Overview
In this role you shape the mobile QA strategy for a rider-focused app suite in a global tech team. You lead QA efforts across multiple mobile projects, mentoring peers and driving continuous quality improvements. You design scalable test solutions for Android and iOS, combining automated and manual testing to ensure robust product delivery. You collaborate with cross-functional partners to elevate rider experience and influence the product direction with testable architectures. This is a hands-on leadership role at scale with a focus on impact and process maturation.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design and implement comprehensive mobile test strategies, frameworks, and practices
- Lead QA efforts across multiple mobile projects ensuring test coverage and quality
- Review requirements and architecture to influence testability and product direction
- Mentor junior/mid-level QA engineers and promote best practices
- Develop and execute advanced automated and manual test cases for Android and iOS using Katalon and Appium
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, performance, and stress testing on devices and emulators
- Collaborate with developers, UX/UI, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve product quality
- Identify gaps in test coverage and drive QA process/tooling improvements
- Manage UAT with business users and report test results, risks, and recommendations
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 8+ years in Software Quality Assurance and testing
- 5+ years in mobile application testing (iOS and Android)
- Proven track record leading automation QA initiatives for large-scale mobile apps
- Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio and Appium
- Experience with mobile QA methodologies, testing tools, and environment management
- Experience with Xcode, Android Studio, device/emulator testing, and connected hardware (Bluetooth, sensors, OTA updates)
- Strong REST API understanding and React-based mobile app knowledge
- CI/CD setup and automation integration (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience designing scalable test frameworks and reusable assets
- Excellent communication with influence on product direction and technical decisions
- Experience with Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, and agile methodologies
- Bonus: mobile performance/scalability/security testing, Espresso/XCTest, IoT/connected hardware testing
