Overview
You will shape premium iOS experiences within Specialized’s rider-focused mobile ecosystem. In this role you design, implement, and performance-tune iOS apps using Swift and SwiftUI, while aligning with a shared Kotlin Multiplatform layer to ensure cross-platform consistency. You partner with product, design, Android, and backend teams to deliver responsive, scalable features, and mentor others to uphold high-quality mobile architecture and practices. This is an opportunity to influence long-term mobile strategy and tooling across native and KMP components, driving reliable, engaging experiences for riders.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop, enhance, and maintain iOS apps using Swift, SwiftUI, Combine and event-driven architectures
- Collaborate on Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) setup with a shared business logic layer across Android and iOS
- Design and implement efficient caching strategies for performance and offline reliability in native and shared layers
- Work with cross-functional teams to define and deliver cross-platform user experiences
- Lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and promote code quality, architecture, testing, and performance across iOS and KMP components
- Analyze complex problems, propose scalable solutions, and lead implementation across platform boundaries
- Contribute to long-term architectural vision for mobile platforms, standardizing development approaches and tooling using KMP
- Continuously evaluate new technologies to improve reliability and rider experience
- Drive consistent use of event-driven patterns to improve modularity, testability, and responsiveness
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on iOS development with production apps
- 2+ years of experience integrating shared Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) in iOS apps
- Deep expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine with reactive/event-driven patterns
- Experience with Kotlin and KMP for shared logic across Android and iOS (desirable)
- Strong understanding of event-driven programming for scalable, testable mobile systems
- Experience with caching strategies and local persistence (Core Data)
- Familiarity with MVVM, MVC, MVP, and Clean Architecture in cross-platform contexts
- Proven ability to break down complex problems and deliver maintainable solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-platform teams
