SPECS Surface Nano Analysis GmbH is the technological market leader in the field of surface nano analysis. The SPECS group is concerned with the development and manufacturing of innovative scientific instruments focussing on surface spectroscopy and -microscopy. The products are worldwide distributed under the brand names SPECS, Nanonis and Enviro. For almost 40 years SPECS provides single components and complete systems to international customers active in surface analysis, materials science and nanotechnology.
As part of the LAB14 group, a subsidiary of the RSBG SE, the holding company of the RAG foundation, continuous innovation towards new market-taylored products and services is the core of its sustainable strategy. In total the SPECS group employs more than 160 specialists worldwide at its headquarters in Berlin, its subsidiary in Switzerland, and at the local SPECS-TII joint venture sales and service centers in USA and China.
Your tasks
Your main activities are the management and coordination of a team of 8, as well as customer support via different communication channels. You support your team in an advisory and coordinative capacity on issues relating to the organization of tasks and business travel activities. You always have an open ear and guiding ideas when your employees approach you with decision-making or problem-solving questions. You conduct customer visits or travel to conferences and maintain our customer contacts on site in a committed and responsible manner. You create quotations and process service cases in our ERP system (APplus). You support and advise our international customers and sales partners in all technical questions. You actively shape your working environment and help us to become more efficient.
Your profile
You have a degree in science or engineering (university/technical college), e.g. in physics, physical chemistry or engineering, or have enjoyed similar technical training. You have already gained professional experience in one or more companies and held a responsible position. You have (initial) experience in managing personnel or are interested in developing into a leadership role. You are characterized by a high level of resilience, organizational talent and leadership skills. You have an analytical mindset, strong decision-making skills, persuasiveness, and interpersonal skills. You have excellent communication skills that inspire and motivate people. A constructive feedback culture and a customer- as well as service-oriented way of working is important to you. You have a good cost- and responsibility-conscious as well as overall thinking. You are not afraid of challenging targets and have a high interest in optimizing efficiency. Excellent written and spoken English skills as well as an intercultural interest complete your profile.
