is building a two-tier distribution network here - a central sortation hub handling up to 50,000 parcels per day (4000 sqm), supported by regional sub-distribution centres (500 sqm sub-DCs) in
Zurich, Bern, and Lausanne .
As
SHEQ Supervisor
(f/m/d), you will be responsible for our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality compliance across the distribution infrastructure, ensuring that our time-sensitive inbound, outbound, and linehaul activities are executed in 100% alignment with Swiss federal laws, SUVA guidelines, and others environmental regulations.
Responsibility Occupational Health & Safety (SUVA Compliance)
Enforce ergonomics & PPE guidelines in accordance with UVG regulations, conduct regular training, and manage job rotation SOPs (e.g., 2-hour sorting/lifting rotations).
Act as First Responder for accidents; submit official reports (Unfallmeldung) to SUVA if necessary.
Oversee waste segregation (cardboard & pallets, film), manage hazardous materials (Sonderabfall) including secure containment, labeling, and segregation.
Operate the electronic VeVA system (BAFU) to ensure 100% legal traceability of waste forms, with coordination with licensed contractors for site clearances and maintain disposal certificates.
Operational & Labor Law Compliance
Align loading/dispatch profiles with the Swiss Night Truck Driving Ban (22:00 - 05:00) and Sunday restrictions.
Monitor shift planning & logs to ensure compliance with the Labor Act (ArG) and GAV KEP agreements.
Verify night shift premiums (+25%) & rest periods to ensure readiness for Cantonal Labor Office audits.
Lead emergency response drills (evacuations, chemical spills, conveyor Not-Aus procedures).
Quality Control & Documentation
Conduct daily safety inspections on automated sorting lines, guards, and hydraulic dock levelers, maintain audit-proof compliance archives (safety briefings, rotation sheets, tracking records), and perform internal audits and drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to closure.
Requirements
Experience:
Proven background in industrial safety, QM, or operational compliance within Swiss warehouses, parcel hubs, or airport ground handling.
Legal Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Swiss labor law (ArG), warehouse OHS (EKAS/SUVA), and the Swiss Night Truck Driving Ban.
Tools & Skills:
Hands-on experience with hazardous waste regulations and the VeVA system; excellent crisis-coordination skills.
Languages:
Fluent German (C1+) OR Fluent French (C1+); with English working proficiency.
